Paul Ince has backed Roy Keane over his assertions that Manchester United didn’t sign Cristiano Ronaldo to win the league this season.
Keane and Jamie Carragher became embroiled in a war of words following United’s 1-1 draw at Chelsea on Sunday over why the Red Devils brought Ronaldo back to the club.
Former Liverpool defender Carragher was adamant that United signed the 36-year-old to spearhead a title challenge, whereas Keane argued it was to help the club end their trophy drought by winning cup competitions.
