Sort of.Ricki Lake brought out her one of her famous costumes from the 1988 John Waters musical classic “Hairspray” during the Halloween-themed episode of “The View.”During Friday’s show Lake, 53, rocked the look she wore during the Hefty Hideaway commercial scene she shot in 1987.
The “Ricki Lake” talk show host wore a similar blond 1960s-era wig and the black-and-white swirly minidress from the film.“This dress, you guys, has been in a bag for 34 years.
This is my original dress that I model, I wear it in the Hefty Hideaway [commercial],” she said on the show.Lake explained to “The View” hosts that her costume was “the one piece” she was able to keep from filming and she has kept it in storage for the last three.
