Bosses at Southport Pleasureland want to build a 35-metre high ride called 'Thunderbolt'. They say the ride will provide a 'significant' new landmark for people living along the Merseyside and Lancashire coastline. READ MORE: Mancunian wins Olympic gold after historic move Earlier this month, Supreme Attractions owner Norman Wallis, who owns Southport Pleasureland, submitted plans for another substantial landmark – a 35 metre high observation wheel next to the Marine Lake.
