ok.co.ukRebekah Vardy's husband, footballer Jamie Vardy, has been taunted by chants about his wife at a recent match. Manchester United fans poked fun at the striker during the team's 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday, 19 February, chanting: "Your wife is a grass".
The chant was a jibe at Rebekah for her now infamous trial against Coleen Rooney, which saw her take Coleen to court for libel and ultimately lose in one of the most-followed news stories in recent years.
The saga, playfully dubbed Wagatha Christie, took social media by storm, and was even turned into a West End production as well as a television drama, the latter starring Michael Sheen as the barrister in the case, David Sherborne.
And despite things coming to a head in July last year, it seems the trial hasn't been forgotten about quite yet. Fans could be heard chanting the jibe aimed at his wife as Jamie, 36, was subbed off the bench to replace Kelechi Iheanacho late in the game at Old Trafford.
