Rare 50p coin worth 30 times its value could be hiding in your home

You might want to have a check down the sofa cushions - because a rare 50p coin worth £60 could be stowed away in your house.

According to the Liverpool Echo, the EC 50p was released by the Royal Mint between 1992 and 1993 to commemorate the completion of the Single Market and the UK's presidency of the European Council.

Only 109,00 of the coins were ever produced - making it rarer than the more famous Kew Gardens design, which has a mintage of around 210k.
