His debut album, which solidified his legendary introduction to the hip-hop scene with “Ruff Ryders Anthem,” went on to sell more than 5 million copies.

He appeared in movies such as Belly and Romeo Must Die, and received three Grammy nominations including Best Rap Solo Performance for “Party Up (Up in Here)” in 2001.Just on Wednesday, Simmons’ manager Steven Rifkind took to social media to update fans that the rapper was on life support and was still in a coma.
