Roofe, a Jamaican international who arrived from Anderlecht in 2020, played a big part for Rangers last season, although boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst has since added to his frontline with the signing of Antonio Colak and Tom Lawrence, while he also has star man Alfredo Morelos returning from injury.
Roofe, too, has been beset by injury issues during his spell in Scotland. Meanwhile, Nikola Katic is weighing up his options for an Ibrox departure as he looks to reinvigorate his career.
The Croatian centre-back, who missed the entire 2020/21 campaign through injury, has fallen well down the pecking order at Rangers and is now understood to be looking for his next destination.
