Rangers-daft football fan who suffered a devastating stroke just six months ago is set to complete a 550 mile running challenge in tribute to his beloved team.

David Smith was left fighting for his life after having an Ischemic stroke on December 8 which left him unable to read or write due to ‘aphasia’.

The 55-year-old defied the odds and was back on his feet just three days later before deciding to raise funds for two charities close to his heart.
