There was a curious break from cup final convention at Hampden as Rangers opted not to print the team names in the centre of their shirts. It was a fiery clash in Glasgow's southside with no shortage of talking points as the Ibrox side fought out a Hampden derby with their rivals, eventually losing out to Kyogo's double despite Alfredo Morelos halving the deficit in the second half.

Celtic won the trophy for the sixth time in seven years having also beat Rangers in the 2019 final to lift the trophy under Neil Lennon. But a curious detail that has been overlooked amid all the fallout was the omission of the traditional cup final blurb on the front of Rangers' shirts.

Celtic and the match officials both had the team names in the centre of their jerseys, along with the date and the competition, while the same was on display in the EFL Cup final with both Manchester United and Newcastle showing the details on their chest.

But while Rangers had "Viaplay Cup final" emblazoned around their crest, they didn't print the name of either club on their chest, as has been done by both teams in previous cup finals.
