Cumbernauld Colts boss David Proctor was delighted to see his side take a point off Rangers B in the Lowland League - and challenged them to grab an Old Firm double with a result over Celtic B next weekend. The Broadwood side kicked-off their Old Firm double-header with a 2-2 draw at third-place Rangers B on Saturday, as they were twice pegged back by the young Gers.Cumbernauld took the lead through Ewan Macpherson after 20 minutes, but Zak Lovelace levelled for the hosts just five minutes later. The visitors regained the lead in the 69th minute when Cole McIntyre turned in a rebound from a Billy Mortimer strike, only for Gers to hit back quickly again when Ross McCausland made it 2-2 just four minutes later.Colts survived a late onslaught from the full-time side and grabbed a deserved point in Dumbarton.Proctor, whose side now travel to second-place Celtic B on Friday night, said: "It was a really good, disciplined performance.

The boys covered a lot of ground on what ended up being a difficult surface for both teams."For Rangers, that becomes a bit of a leveller.

They are really keen to play penetrating football in between the lines, so that made it difficult for them to do that."They still managed to cut us open a few times but we had a goalkeeper who was on form and made a couple of really good saves."When our chances arose, Rangers made some mistakes and we pounced on them.

We were quite clinical with those opportunities but we played some good stuff at times. It was up to us to press at the right times and I thought we did that really well."We'd have taken 2-2 before the game.
