Rangers and Celtic facing 'betting logo ban' in potential multi million pound shirt sponsorship blow

Celtic could be banned from displaying betting logos on their shirts as part of multi-million sponsorship deals. It has been reported that the government will outlaw gambling firms appearing on the front of shirts in a legislation document to published later this year.The move would come as a huge blow to the Glasgow giants who are both sponsored by betting companies.Rangers are sponsored by Malta-based Kindred Group and only signed a multi-year extension lsat season, with 32Red and Unibet part of the group.

And rivals Celtic signed “Scottish football’s biggest ever front of shirt sponsorship deal” three years ago when they extended with Dafabet until 2025.
