Prue Leith has revealed that she had a 13-year affair with her husband Rayne Kruger, who was married to South African actress Nan Munro at the time. The Great British Back Off judge, 83, shared that at the time of the affair both Rayne and Nan were family friends, with the latter being her mum's, actress Margaret Inglis, best friend.

And perhaps even more bizarrely, despite the affair, Prue and Nan remained friends until the actress's death in 1992. Rayne died in 2002, at the age of 80, with Prue revealing the affair ten years later in her autobiography Relish: My Life on a Plate.

She opened up further about the affair this year in an appearance on White Wine Question Time where she told host Kate Thornton, that she'd never asked Rayne to leave his wife. The TV chef explained: "I had none of the duties of life and all of the pleasures of somebody who loved me.

I wasn’t pressing for marriage. We did have 13 secret years and nobody ever guessed because we were discreet." She added that people were never suspicious if they saw the pair together as he was a family friend and chairman of her company, so it would be assumed that they were just working.
