'Prolific offender' went on shopping spree with stolen bank cards

A prolific criminal went on a three day shopping spree using stolen bank cards. Dale Simpson was jailed for 62 weeks when he appeared at Warrington magistrates court this week.

The 35-year-old, of Museum Street, Warrington, had earlier pleaded guilty to six counts of fraud, handling stolen goods and breaching a criminal behaviour order.

The court heard how between Monday, November 11 and Wednesday, November 13, Simpson used stolen bank cards to buy items totalling £322.11 at 16 locations across Warrington.

These included £79 at Cash Convertors, £70 at Foot Asylum and more than £30 at Ice and Slice.
