Princess Diana's former butler has revealed she faced the same difficulties as Meghan Markle when she asked for help with her mental health.
Paul Burrell, 62, joined Lorraine Kelly on her mononymous daytime show on Monday morning to discuss Meghan and Prince Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey, which aired in the US overnight.
During the interview, which will be shown on ITV at 9pm on Monday, Meghan admitted she had battled "suicidal thoughts" during her time as part of the British Royal family.
Lorraine asked Paul as he joined her from his home in Cheshire: "It's interesting, isn't it, that the other headline has been about Meghan saying that she didn't want to live, she couldn't be left alone.
