Prince Harry’s surprise return to the UK to attend a High Court hearing was “not planned” with King Charles, a royal expert has claimed.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are “unpredictable” and “nobody expected” Harry to travel to the Royal Courts of Justice this week, commentator Richard Fitzwilliams added.The 38 year old royal has flown to London on a solo visit for the hearing of his privacy case against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers Ltd (ANL) over allegations of unlawful information gathering.
He is part of a group – along with Baroness Doreen Lawrence, Sir Elton John and David Furnish and actresses Sadie Frost and Liz Hurley – who are bringing claims against the company.
The Duke is not expected to meet the King or brother Prince William while he is in London. Relations between Harry and the Royal Family continue to be strained following the publication of the Duke’s bombshell memoir Spare and the release of the Sussexes’ controversial Netflix documentary.
