If Prince Harry chooses not to attend the Coronation of his father, King Charles, it would be seen as "the ultimate snub", a royal expert has claimed. There is a huge question mark over whether Prince Harry, 38, and his wife Meghan Markle, 41, will attend the historic event, after relations between them and the rest of the royals have soured over the past few years. They have so far not revealed if they will be at the Coronation on 6 May, but it is thought that a decision is imminent.

A source told The Times: "I hear they are going to confirm their plans soon, particularly now that Biden has." Author Tom Quinn said: "If Harry doesn't come it will never be forgotten.

It's the ultimate snub. You're not coming to your father's Coronation, the King's Coronation. There's no going back from that.

He even suggested that the Sussexes may come up with a "plausible reason" as to why they can't attend the Coronation, but that it wouldn't be believable. "They might be able to come up with a plausible reason such as they are worried about security or the kids. "But, however brilliant the PR, there are some things you can never sell and they are not able to sell that," he told The Express. The author also claimed that it is "highly unlikely" that Harry and Meghan's children, Archie and Lilbet, will attend the Coronation too.
