are ready to get back home as soon as possible, apparently. Queen Elizabeth has been laid to rest at last, which means the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are officially free to leave the UK and return to California, which they plan to do “almost immediately,” according to unnamed source.“Meghan and Harry are preparing to return to Montecito almost immediately after the funeral, where they’ll be reunited with Archie and Lilibet after being separated for over two weeks,” the source said, which is “the longest amount of time they’ve been apart from their children.”I don't doubt that the Sussexes really are eager to get back home because they , who are still just toddlers after all.

But I kind of suspect that they may also wish to minimize and run-ins with the vitriolic British tabloids—which have refused to let up on Meghan even once.In fact, royal expert Katie Nicholl had already predicted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's early departure based on how carefully they seemed to avoid interacting with Prince William and Kate Middleton and vice versa during the event. “The only meeting they had...was when they were driving down the long drive [in] Windsor, crossed paths and reversed so that they could see each other and Harry could see his niece and nephews,” she told “That's the extent of the reunion and that was by chance.

I think that says a lot and I think we'll probably see the Sussexes on their way back to America very soon.” And of course the British press (especially one publication who's name rhymes with ) was as inhospitable as ever.
