Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Prince Charles is said to still be “fuming” with his son Prince Harry after his explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.The Duke of Sussex, 36, is said to have sent a “deeply personal note” to his father the Prince of Wales, 72, ahead of his trip to the UK last month.
But, Prince Harry is said to have received a “frosty reception” from a number of members of the Royal Family as he reunited with them at Prince Philip’s funeral.
And, despite reports Harry reunited with Prince William and dad Charles for two hours after the funeral service at Windsor Castle, an insider has now revealed that the Charles and Harry are still in a rift and the father and son “barely communicated” during Harry’s trip.
