Pregnant Samantha Hanratty Reveals Baby Boy Will Be Born with Cleft Lip

Samantha Hanratty is sharing an update on her pregnancy. If you didn’t know, the 29-year-old Yellowjackets actress announced last month that she and husband Christian DeAnda are expecting their first child, a baby boy.

In a video shared on TikTok on Wednesday (Sept. 25), Samantha revealed that her son will be born with a cleft lip. Keep reading to find out more…“I’ve been doing some updates on here and having a good time sharing these things with you and I thought I would share our latest update that our baby is going to have a cleft lip and a possible cleft palate,” Samantha shared. “And at first the news was obviously shocking because it doesn’t run in my family, it doesn’t run in my husband’s family,” she continued. “And the biggest thing that we all want is that we want our kids to be happy and we want our kids to be healthy.” According to the Mayo Clinic, cleft lip and cleft palate are “openings or splits in the upper lip, the roof of the mouth (palate) or both.
