KATE Ferdinand broke down in tears as she recalled husband Rio's late wife Rebecca's final gesture for her family before she died.

Mum-of-three Rebecca died from breast cancer in 2015, aged just 34. She left behind children Lorenz, now 16, Tate, now 14, and Tia, now 11.

Speaking on her Blended podcast, Kate told author Emily Dean how moved she was by Rebecca attending her daughter Tia's fourth birthday party despite being gravely ill.

She said: "This is so emotional. It's making me cry because Tia's mum (had) done that for her as well. "I don't know if I've spoken about this but it was her mission to go to her birthday party.
