Rangers’ fans for anti social behaviour and breaking strict covid lockdown rules during today's title celebrations in Glasgow city centre.
Chief Superintendent Mark Sutherland revealed he had turned down a request to police a ‘fan procession’ to George Square today.
He said that while the crowd was “largely peaceful” his officers had been forced to deal with “ anti-social behaviour including the use of pyrotechnics and drinking in public.” He added that his officers “are dealing with such offences where possible and have made arrests.”The Divisional Commander for Greater Glasgow’s full statement said: “Today is understandably a significant day for Rangers Football Club and its supporters.
