A man has been jailed after police raided his house looking for drugs - but instead found four guns wrapped in bin bags. Two self-loading pistols, a revolver, a shotgun and ammunition were all recovered at an address in Crumpsall when officers executed a misuse of drugs warrant on April 17 of this year.

Victor Sibthorpe, who occupied the property, was not present, but police searching the property found a number of class A and B drugs.

The 25-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A and B drugs later at an address in Harpurhey.

But it was only when police searched Sibthorpe's garden that they uncovered the firearms. READ MORE: GMP takes no action against cops who arrested and strip searched woman 'based on almost nothing' All of the guns recovered were found to be viable, police say.
