A planning application has been submitted to transform a former industrial site in Old Trafford into a 33-home car free development.
The proposals are for a new building on the half-acre site, including 31 two-bedroom and two one-bedroom apartments over five floors on Chester Road.
The site is close to the boundary with Manchester city centre on the edge of the Empress Conservation Area, which architect Atelier MB says is ‘very well served by public transport’ with the Cornbrook Metrolink stop only a few minutes walk away and frequent bus services.
For this reason, no car parking facilities will be provided, although each home will have up to two secure cycle parking spaces.
