Jones has had an injury filled career and hasn't featured for the United first-team since an FA Cup tie in January 2020 because of a recurring knee injury.
After signing from Blackburn back in 2011, Jones has gone on to make just 224 appearances for the club over ten seasons and as he enters his 11th season with the club he is finally getting back on the pitch with the Under-23s to try and recover some match fitness.
