Peter Robbins, First Actor to Voice 'Charlie Brown,' Has Passed Away at 65

Peter Robbins has sadly passed away at the age of 65. For those who don’t know, Peter was the first actor to voice the role of animated Peanuts character Charlie Brown when he was only nine-years-old. Click inside for more details… Peter‘s family told Fox 5 that “he took his own life last week.” His family plans on holding a memorial service at a future date.

Throughout his life, Peter suffered from bipolar disorder and he went through some troubling times. He served a five-year prison sentence after making criminal threats against several people.

He was committed to turning his life around after being released in 2019. “I would recommend to anybody that has bipolar disorder to take it seriously because your life can turn around in the span of a month like it did to me.

I came out of prison and I’m a better person for it. I’m much more humble and grateful and thankful that I lived through the experience,” he said back in 2019. “I came out of prison and I’m a better person for it.
