Emotional Perthshire curlers celebrated a dramatic and stunning gold medal win at the World Junior Curling Championships this morning.Holly Wilkie-Milne from Perth and Laura Watt from Auchterarder were representing Scotland with Team Henderson - alongside skip Fay Henderson and Robyn Munro - in Fussen, Germany.And it turned out to be an experience they will remember forever after defeating Japan 9-7 to clinch gold and become champions of the world.Those watching live and from back home were treated to a nerve-wracking finish to the contest.The Scots had scored a three at the ninth end to level the match at 7-7 before keeping cool in the last to add a two.That sparked emotional scenes of delight on the ice as the achievement quickly started to sink in.Both Wilkie-Milne and Watt are familiar faces at Perth’s Dewars Centre and will return to the region with their name etched in the history books.Full coverage in Tuesday’s PA.Read more on dailyrecord.co.uk
