Perth man jailed for making violent threats to his ex outside supermarket

dailyrecord.co.ukPerth man confronted her outside a city centre supermarket and shouted: “You’re dead, you’re dead.” Thirty-five-year-old Douglas Robertson also turned up uninvited at a local flat in a bid to see her - and told two of her friends: “I’m going upstairs to batter her.”And when he did not make contact, he punched a glass window and later sent her a series of messages via social media in defiance of a bail order.
The accused, of St Catherine’s Square, was jailed for a total of four months at Perth Sheriff Court after Sheriff Neil Bowie told him: “Your conduct towards your former partner must have been extremely frightening.” He also had a three-year non-harassment order imposed, prohibiting him from approaching or contacting her.He admitted.
