Princess Theodora of Greece marries American lawyer after postponing royal wedding twice in 4 years
finally married American lawyer Matthew Kumar in a lavish Athens wedding after the couple was forced to postpone the ceremony twice.The couple held their long-awaited nuptials at the historic Metropolitan Cathedral in the Greek capital on Saturday, the same church where Theodora’s parents were married 60 years ago.Theodora, 41, is the youngest daughter of the late King Constantine, who was the last King of Greece for only three years before he was forced into exile in 1967. The political group that took over abolished the monarchy by 1973 however Theodora, her mother Queen Anne-Marie and siblings still represent the country as royals.Theodora and Kumar were married by His Eminence Metropolitan of Syros, Dorotheos II in a Greek Orthodox wedding ceremony.Princess Theodora’s strapless wedding gown with a fold-over neckline was made by Greek designer Celia Kritharioti.
