Trent Reznor reunited with several early members of Nine Inch Nails for the band’s belated Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction celebration.Two years after a virtual ceremony for their initial induction, a live performance took place at Blossom Music Center in Reznor’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday (September 24).There, Reznor was joined by Chris Vrenna, Richard Patrick, Danny Lohner, and Charlie Clouser, members in an early Nine Inch Nails line-up.The group – who haven’t played in Ohio since 2013 – performed six songs from their ‘Pretty Hate Machine’ era; ‘Sin’, ‘Wish’, ‘Gave Up’ and ‘Eraser’. Terminator 2: Judgement Day actor Robert Patrick has spoken about the time he tried to get a Nine Inch Nails song on the 1991 film’s soundtrack instead of one by Guns N’ Roses.In a new interview, Patrick revealed that it was lead star Arnold Schwarzenegger (the Terminator) who ultimately rejected the suggestion he’d put to director James Cameron. Instead, Guns N’ Roses soundtracked the sequel with an original song, ‘You Could Be Mine’.Patrick told The Guardian that his younger brother [Richard Patrick of the US band Filter] was a touring guitarist for Nine Inch Nails at the time, which later inspired him to advocate for the band.“When I was making Terminator 2 I used to work out to ‘Head Like A Hole’ by Nine Inch Nails,” said Patrick, who portrayed the villain T-1000 in the movie.Patrick took the song to Cameron and “tried to get him to use it for the soundtrack… but he said, ‘No.

Grey Daze, the band fronted by Chester Bennington before he formed Linkin Park, have shared new single ‘Starting To Fly’.The track is taken from the band’s forthcoming album ‘The Phoenix’, which is out on June 17. Filter’s Richard Patrick has spoken about his decision to leave Nine Inch Nails more than 20 years ago, citing comments from Trent Reznor as the motivating factor.The musician was a member of the band from 1989 until 1993 primarily as a part of the live line-up.Patrick reflected on his final days in the band while appearing on the podcast Stop! Drop & Talk, which is co-hosted by Halestorm’s Arejay Hale. The Filter frontman recalled telling Reznor: “Wow, you’re going down to New Orleans to go live in this beautiful house that you’re getting, and I’m gonna go back to my mom and dad’s house.”He said his former bandmate responded by telling him to go write a record.
