Kelly Preston to breast cancer at 57 in July after her two-year battle against the disease.Sam Travolta Jr is a screenwriter and close family of the Hollywood star, as the son of John's older brother Sam.His passing has only just come to light after he died on September 23 at his home in Mount Horeb, Wisconsin. A cause of death has not been made public, reports the Mirror.

John Travolta's nephew Sam dies age 52
The Sun.No details surrounding the cause of his death have been released.'He will be greatly missed, but he will always be with us.' Sam Jr.'s high school friend Nick Mavrostomos told the newspaper.Sam made headlines in 2015 when he spoke out about Scientology - and the psychological toll it took on him - after he left the church that his uncle is famously devoted to in 2007.He also previously revealed that John supported him in different ways, including financially, claiming he would send him a monthly allowance of $1800.Sam's passing comes after John lost his wife of 29 years, Kelly Preston, on July 12 after a two-year battle with breast cancer.
