Michelin-starred chef at helm of Glasgow's Rioja gives sneak peak at re-vamped menu
Glasgow restaurant Rioja has given foodies a sneak peek of what to expect from the new concept - with a focus on tapas. The Finnieston eatery, based on Argyle Street, will be led from Michelin-starred chef Miguel Angel Mayor - who enjoyed success at Sucede in Valencia.Diners will be treated to a huge range of Spanish delicacies - from cured Iberian ham to a series of Valencian rice dishes.The restaurant space has been reimagined and the kitchens have been completely refurbished to create a light filled, contemporary space that can seat up to 60 guests over two floors.All of the design elements have been inspired by Spain’s picturesque coastline.Chef Miguel Angel Mayor said: “Our food reflects the evolution of taste.
