Lewis Hamilton knighted by Prince Charles days after losing out to Max Verstappen
Formula 1 superstar Sir Lewis Hamilton has received his knighthood just days after dramatically missing out on the 2021 world championship to Dutch driver Max Verstappen, 24, who raced for Red Bull. The racing car driver, who has been an incredible sportsman and credit to Britain was bestowed the title for his incredible services to motorsport by Prince Charles.The 36 year old, who has raced for Mercedes since 2012, and before that competed for McLaren, appeared subdued but thrilled to receive the honour alongside his mum at Windsor Castle.
