Malcolm Marmorstein Dies: ‘Pete’s Dragon’, ‘Dark Shadows’ Writer Was 92
Malcolm Marmorstein, the screenwriter of the 1970s Disney hits Pete’s Dragon and Return From Witch Mountain and who, a decade earlier, was a key element of the Dark Shadows writing staff when ABC’s Gothic soap opera famously introduced vampire character Barnabas Collins, died Saturday Nov. 21 in Los Angeles. He was 92.
