Get the stories that matter to you sent straight to your inbox with our daily newsletter.An NHS hero and the woman behind two of Scotland’s biggest weapons in fight against Covid has become Dunbartonshire’s new Lord Lieutenant.Mrs Jill Young MBE who masterminded the Louisa Jordan Hospital and helped established the Covid-19 testing programme takes over as the first female and non-military holder of the Office of HM Lord Lieutenant for the area.She succeeds Rear Admiral Michael Gregory OBE.Mrs Young hinted on her appointment that there may be Royal visits on the horizon and added: “I feel so humbled and privileged to be undertaking this role.“I wish to thank my predecessor Rear Admiral Michael Gregory CVO OBE for his leadership and service
