Django Django have shared MGMT’s remix of their recent single ‘Spirals’.The original version hit streaming services in September and was the band’s first song in two years. ‘Spirals’ remains Django Django’s only single for 2020 thus far.MGMT’s remix clocks in at almost eight minutes long and arrives with a hypnotic new music video, directed by Gemma Yin.

Django Django have shared a new single titled ‘Don’t Touch That Dial’ alongside the release of the second part of their new album ‘Off Planet’.‘Off Planet’ is the band’s fifth album, and is set to be released in four parts – each representing a separate “planet”. Django Django have announced their fifth album, ‘Off Planet’, which they are releasing in four parts between now and June. The first five tracks are out now, including new single ‘Complete Me’, featuring Self Esteem.“The instrumental for ‘Complete Me’ was made sometime in 2020 or 21 when the world was in lockdown and I was making music in my garden shed studio”, says the band’s Dave Maclean.

Glowing In The Dark’ last February, Django Django have now announced the details of a deluxe edition of the album.The extended version of the group’s fourth album will feature five new songs and will be released September 2021 on a date yet to be announced.New track ‘Under Fire’ is out now, alongside an animated video which can be viewed below.

Django Django drummer/producer Dave Maclean has launched a new house music project under the moniker Hugo Paris.Maclean, who last released a full-length album with Django Django in 2018 (‘Marble Skies’), revealed that his first love is house and techno music and that he’d always intended to make dance music.“I started DJing and making hip hop, dancehall, house and techno beats on a sampler and 4-track in the mid ‘90s,” Dave said [quotes via Dork].“My love of house and techno can be traced back to buying records from 23rd Precinct in Dundee, and Strawberry Bizarre in Perth,” he added.
