Whether we have succeeded in these two ambitions, only the listener can tell.

Aldous Harding has announced a return to Australia as part of her world tour in support of her latest studio album, ‘Warm Chris’.The shows, announced today (May 19), will mark Harding’s first tour of Australia in nearly three years. The New Zealand-born and Wales-based singer-songwriter was one of the very last international artists to perform in Australia prior to the COVID-19 lockdowns, in late February and early March 2020.Harding will perform four shows while in Australia over mid-to-late October.

Øya Festival has confirmed its full line-up for 2022, with the likes of H.E.R. and Little Simz joining the bill.The Norwegian festival will return to Oslo’s Tøyenparken from August 9-13 this year, with Gorillaz, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds and Florence + The Machine set to headline.Øya has now confirmed the final names on the line-up (which is split 50/50 between male and female artists) for their 2022 festival, with H.E.R., Little Simz, Fred Again.., Perfume Genius and Freddie Gibbs among the latest additions.Remi Wolf, Aldous Harding, Kings Of Convenience, Jenny Hval and CMAT are also set to perform at Øya in August.Day tickets for Øya Festival are on sale now, with weekend passes sold out.

Aldous Harding announced her fourth studio album, Warm Chris, in January with its slippery lead single, "Lawn." Where that song shuffles sidelong in and out of focus, its new follow-up, "Fever," walks a straight line, the New Zealand singer-songwriter making direct eye contact with her listener (though the two tracks' respective press image tell the opposite story). "Fever, when we met at hotel reception / 'Never, have I been so tired,' you said / You bet, guess we did what the other expected," she begins over a no-nonsense, four-chord piano progression and a stretchy bass line.

Aldous Harding has shared a new single today, ‘Fever’ – listen to the track below.It’s taken from her upcoming new album ‘Warm Chris’ and follows on from the previously released ‘Lawn‘. The New Zealand musician will release the follow-up to her April 2019 record ‘Designer’ on March 25 via 4AD.‘Warm Chris’ was produced by John Parish (who also produced ‘Designer’ and Harding’s 2017 LP ‘Party’), with all 10 tracks being recorded at Rockfield Studios. Harding’s 2021 single ‘Old Peel’ does not make the final cut, however.The album includes contributions from Sleaford Mods’ Jason Williamson as well as H. Aldous Harding has returned with the one-off single ‘Old Peel’, her first original release in two years.The bouncy new single has been the set-closer for Harding’s most recent live shows. It was recorded with producer John Parish, who also worked on Harding’s latest two records, ‘Designer’ and ‘Party’.The song’s music video was directed by Harding and longtime collaborator Martin Sagadin, and features Sagadin dancing in the centre of an intimate rehearsal space.‘Old Peel’ will be released as a 7-inch vinyl on July 9, with an alternate version acting as the b-side.
