Residents in Tenerife are being urged to check outbuildings and land in the remote and moutenous terrain in north west Tenerife where Jay Slater went missing more then two weeks ago.

The 19-year-old disappeared on the morning of June 17 after leaving the Airbnb in the north of the island, close to the village of Masca in the Rural de Teno Park.

Jay, from Oswaldtwistle in Lancashire, had travelled there with two British men after leaving a nightclub in Playa de las Americas.

A former British police detective who is helping Jay Slater's family in Tenerife has said he has information suggesting the teenager was 'scared' when he left an Airbnb rental property and had allegedly 'taken a £12,000 Rolex' before he went missing.
