Pensioner dies after 'suffering heart attack' while hillwalking near Scots reservoir

A pensioner has died after taking ill while hillwalking near a Scots reservoir.Emergency services - including mountain rescue crews - raced to Torduff reservoir in Edinburgh after the alarm was raised at around 3.15pm on Boxing Day.

The 75-year-old suffered a suspected cardiac arrest and was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.The Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue team battled to try to save the pensioner after he took ill.A spokesperson said on Facebook: "The team were called out at 15:45 to assist in a multiagency evacuation of a hillwalker who had suffered cardiac arrest."Despite best efforts of those involved, the outcome was not what anyone wanted."All of us at TVMRT send our
