Paul O'Grady opened up about the heartbreaking loss of his pet pig just days before his death aged 67. The comedian's husband, Andre Portasio, announced the news of his passing, stating that the iconic broadcaster died "unexpectedly but peacefully" yesterday evening (Wednesday).

The beloved TV presenter hosted his award-winning series For The Love Of Dogs and was famed for his work with animal rights causes and LGBTQ+ rights.

Two weeks before his death, Paul took to social media to inform fans of his heartbreak following the death of his pet pig Tom Tom.

The animal was put to sleep while Paul was touring with a production of Annie, reports the Mirror.Paul wrote: “Got back from a week in Newcastle playing Miss Hannigan in Annie to find that Tom Tom, one of my pigs, had been put to sleep.
