FASHION legend Paco Rabanne has died at the age of 88. The Spanish designer - best known for his metallic ensembles and perfumes - passed away in Portsall, France.
His death was confirmed on the official Instagram account of the renowned Spanish designer. It said: "The House of Paco Rabanne wishes to honour our visionary designer and founder who passed away today at the age of 88. "Among the most seminal fashion figures of the 20th century, his legacy will remain a constant source of inspiration. "We are grateful to Monsieur Rabanne for establishing our avant-garde heritage and defining a future of limitless possibilities." But after retiring in 1999, he withdrew from the limelight and was rarely seen in public. Rabanne was born in February 1934 in the Basque town of Pasajes, Gipuzkoa province.
