IT’S one of the all-time greats of Eighties cinema – and I’m told Ghostbusters is getting a new sequel set in London. And in even more exciting news, the surviving original line-up will be making cameos.
If you’re after a hit, who you gonna call? Bill Murray! The new movie begins shooting in the UK this March, with Murray, Sigourney Weaver and Dan Ackroyd among the classic cast due to appear alongside a new crew of ghoul hunters.
A source said: “Studio bosses are taking a classic franchise, setting it in a new location but keeping the magic of the original.
It’s going to be brilliant.” Previous Ghostbusters sequel Afterlife, which starred Paul Rudd, told the story of the grandson of Egon Spengler — one of the original Ghostbusters played by the late Harold Ramis.
