The Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival, one of the largest events of its kind anywhere in the world, is returning to Scotland this year. The festival celebrates Scotland’s national drink with a programme of more than 700 whisky-inspired events across six days.

Events will take place throughout Speyside in Moray, the biggest whisky producing region in Scotland, from April 26 to May 1.Thousands of visitors, beginners and connoisseurs alike, are expected to flock to the region this spring to take part in activities such as barrel raising workshops, a ‘dram tram’ train ride, and ‘whisky truckers’ delivery tours.

The festival will also feature tours and tastings at Speyside’s iconic distilleries, many of which are otherwise unopen to the public.

This includes Speyburn, which is opening its doors to tours for the very first time to celebrate its 125th year.During the festival, Speyburn will be running two tours, three times a day, led by its Distillery Manager and Senior Brand Ambassador.
