Jordan Chiles opened up about her plans for life after gymnastics. The 23-year-old athlete attracted international attention while competing for the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics this summer.
However, she’s already got some thoughts about what’s next for her. While attending the Teen Vogue 2024 Summit, Jordan revealed the career that she is considering after retiring from competitive sports. Keep reading to find out more… Teen Vogue noted that Jordan was not interested in pursuing a career coaching the gymnastics of the future, writing that she “feels too close to what the gymnasts are experiencing.” Instead, the outlet noted that she’s considering a career in real estate.
During the conversation, Jordan also addressed how she responds to her critics and the pressure of competing at the Olympics. “There is a lot of pressure, but I take my pressure turned into something great,” she said. “I use every negative comment — everything that’s thrown at me.
And I use it to continue on my task, my journey. People will always expect you to do something, but when I look at those people, I ask those people, ‘Why do you expect something out of me when I’m the one doing it?’” Jordan weighed in on being stripped of her bronze medal at the Olympics this summer.
