Olivia Rodrigo is supporting Alanis Morissette on her big night! The 19-year-old “drivers license” singer joined the 48-year-old singer/songwriter on the red carpet at the 2022 Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame Gala on Saturday evening (September 26) at Massey Hall in Toronto, Canada.
During the event, Olivia gave a touching speech as she helped induct Alanis into the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Alanis’ songwriting was unlike anything I’d ever heard before and I haven’t heard anything quite like it since,” Olivia said on stage, via Billboard. “And that voice — fierce and tender and sometimes funny and playful.
I became hooked for life.” Olivia continued, “Alanis captured the anger, the grief and the love of the human experience better than anyone.
