thief who had gone on a crime spree in Paisley was later arrested while armed with a pair of scissors.William Hutton, 50, who has a lengthy criminal record including convictions for carrying weapons and numerous thefts, claimed he was only stealing “for money for food and electricity.”Paisley Sheriff Court heard Hutton first targeted Superdrug in the Piazza Centre where he stole three packs of Gillette Fusion razors worth £69.He later stole DVDs from WH Smith, High Street, worth £83, before he was busted at Keystore, in the town’s Canal Street, armed with a pair of scissors.Procurator Fiscal Depute David McDonald said a member of staff spotted Hutton placing a bag on the floor in Superdrug.When he went to check what he was up to, he noticed.
