Nile Rodgers has accidentally confirmed that he and Chic will be performing at Glastonbury 2025.Up until now, only one artist had been confirmed for next year’s edition of the festival: Rod Stewart.
He was announced for next year’s Legend Slot earlier this week (November 26), a performance that will follow on from his previous headline appearance in 2002, alongside Coldplay and Stereophonics.Usually, the first line-up poster for Glastonbury is unveiled in early March, meaning no further artists are confirmed for roughly four months.
However, Nile Rodgers has accidentally confirmed that he will be joining the bill for 2025.Taking to the stage at London’s Roundhouse for last night’s Rolling Stone Awards, the musician accepted the award for Music Icon and let slip that he was already preparing to get up to some havoc with Stewart at the Worthy Farm site.“We’re going to have a blast because we follow him directly,’ he joked (via Metro). “Rod and I have been friends for 80 gazillion years, so that means he’s gonna play tricks on me… He’s probably gonna pinch my bum, because he always does that.
I don’t know what the hell he gets out of that.”He continued: “We’re gonna have a great time together. I don’t know who’s in his current band, but we’ll probably be jamming.
