‘Night Sky’ Canceled By Prime Video After One Season

Viewers of Neighbours were left in tears as they watched the final episode of the soap. It was announced in February that Channel 5 would drop the long-running soap from its line-up and doubts were quickly cast over whether the show's producers Fremantle Media would be able to secure a replacement broadcaster.

Operation Julie: A Rock Opera, will open tonight (July 30) at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre in Wales. It’ll run at the venue until Saturday August 13, with 17 shows booked between now and then, before it moves to Theatr Brycheiniog for three shows between Wednesday August 24 and Friday 26, and finally to Theatr Y Lyric for three shows between Wednesday August 31 and Friday September 2.The show is being staged by Theatr na nÓg, with the official logline describing it as “Breaking Bad meets The Good Life” and teasing a soundtrack of ‘70s prog-rock.

Amazon Prime Video has cancelled sci-fi series Night Sky after one season.According to Deadline, the series didn’t make a “significant viewership impact” to justify the sizable costs for a second season.All eight episodes of Night Sky released on Amazon on May 20, with its cancellation coming six weeks after its debut.The series follows married couple Franklin (J.K. Simmons) and Irene York (Sissy Spacek) who discover a portal in their backyard that leads to a deserted planet.Night Sky also stars Chai Hansen, Adam Bartley, Julieta Zylberberg, Piotr Adamczyk, Kiah McKirnan, Beth Lacke, Sonya Walger and Stephen Louis Grush.

Zack Sharf James Cameron’s first “Avatar” movie clocked in at 162 minutes (that’s nearly two hours and 40 minutes), and it sounds like the Oscar-winning director is going even longer for the upcoming sequel, “Avatar: The Way of Water.” According to Empire magazine, the next “Avatar” movie is “currently coming in at around three hours.” Cameron does not want to hear anyone complaining about the movie’s long runtime.“I don’t want anybody whining about length when they sit and binge-watch [television] for eight hours,” Cameron told the magazine. “I can almost write this part of the review.

Woody Allen has offered further details about an upcoming feature he plans to shoot in Paris, which he also says may be his last.
