Nicolas Raskin has been ruled out of Belgium’s Under 21 internationals against Czech Republic and Japan this week following injury but the midfielder vowed he will “be back soon”.Rangers boss Michael Beale revealed last week that the former Standard Liege man had a quad issue which saw him miss the weekend trip to Motherwell.
Raskin was then spotted at the airport on the eve of the match at Fir Park as he headed back to Belgium to report for duty. But now he has taken to his own Instagram page to say: “Unfortunately I will not be playing for Belgium U-21 in the upcoming two matches due to a small injury.
I'll be back soon!" Beale will be hoping the issue isn’t anything major with Raskin impressing in recent weeks after failing to make the Viaplay Cup final starting line up against Celtic.
The Belgian has bounced back from that disappointment to stake a claim for a major role in Beale’s XI.And the Ibrox side, who trail Celtic by nine points, face a huge month of April which kicks off with a home league fixture against Dundee United followed by a daunting trip to Parkhead in the league and they end the month with a a Scottish Cup semi-final against the Hoops at Hampden.
