NEWSNIGHT took a chaotic turn after a guest's phone repeatedly went off during their live interview on Tuesday night. At the helm of the programme was broadcaster and journalist Victoria Derbyshire as the show covered the strikes taking place throughout the country.
But during a segment halfway through the show on the current state and future of the Conservative party, the programme was thrown into chaos.
Producers invited former Tory politician Lord Baker of Dorking to speak on the topic when his phone started ringing. As he reached into his jacket pocket for the phone, Victoria couldn't help but smirk at the on air disruption.
