A Lanarkshire singer has penned a new book looking over the history of Scottish folk music and the rise of clubs supporting the folk scene.The 1950s and 1960s saw an explosion of Scottish talent, fuelled by a growing number of clubs mixing together Scottish, English, Irish and American music.Now, Rutherglen singer Fraser Bruce, who honed his skills at Rutherglen Academy's Ballads Clubs, has collected memories from a host of talent and collected it into The Folk River, providing a history of that period.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
